Which type of anthrax is most common

There are three common types of anthrax: cutaneous anthrax, pulmonary anthrax, and intestinal anthrax. Of these, cutaneous anthrax is the most common. 1. Cutaneous anthrax: Cutaneous anthrax is the most common clinical type, accounting for more than 90%. Most of the patients have a history of contact with fur or diseased animals, and most of them are engaged in meat processing, fur tanning and other livestock-related occupations. It usually occurs in exposed locations such as the face, neck, shoulders, hands, and feet. It is characterized by localized skin necrosis and characteristic black scabs. 2. Pulmonary anthrax: Pulmonary anthrax is an infectious disease of the lungs caused by inhalation of Bacillus anthracis. It is a contagious disease and patients need to be closely isolated. Pulmonary anthrax is rare, but it is a critical condition with a high mortality rate and is difficult to diagnose. 3. Intestinal anthrax: Intestinal anthrax is mainly caused by eating bacteria-carrying meat and is characterized by acute intestinal infection. The main symptoms are nausea and anorexia. Intestinal anthrax is much rarer and is characterized by symptoms such as hemorrhagic enteritis. Anthrax is more serious, and patients should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner, regardless of the type of anthrax present.
