Generally, nasopharyngeal cancer does not have foreign body sensation. The most common local symptoms of nasopharyngeal cancer include the following four aspects: 1. Tinnitus and hearing loss: Because tumors located in the lateral wall of nasopharynx and pharyngeal fossa will infiltrate and compress the eustachian tube, causing negative pressure in the tympanic chamber, resulting in exudative otitis media, and then tinnitus or hearing loss. 4. Therefore, there is no foreign body sensation as a common symptom of nasopharyngeal cancer. Patients who have foreign body sensation need to exclude whether they have pharyngitis or esophageal related diseases.
