Diet recommendation for swollen and painful eyes

When the eye swelling and pain is mild, daily feasible home care such as ice, heat or massage can relieve the swelling and pain. Other treatments or medications need to be analyzed in conjunction with the symptoms and signs of the specific disease, and it is impossible to say exactly which treatment is the best. The etiology of ocular swelling and pain is complex, and diagnosis and treatment require clinical experience; patients should seek prompt medical attention.
In patients with non-inflammatory mild disease, ice can be applied to relieve localized swelling and pain in the eye for the first time, and hot towels can be applied wet after 48 hours; it is recommended to use antibiotic eye drops under medical supervision to improve the swelling and pain. If the symptoms do not improve after treatment it is recommended to seek immediate hospital consultation.
