Astigmatism in children cannot be recovered. Astigmatism in children’s eyes can be corrected by wearing cylindrical lenses and corneal contact lenses. If the astigmatism is mild and there are no clinical symptoms, there can be no intervention for the time being, but if there are clinical symptoms, cylindrical lenses need to be worn for correction. Before wearing cylindrical lenses, the type of astigmatism and the degree of astigmatism need to be clarified. Concave cylindrical lenses can be used for myopic astigmatism, and convex cylindrical lenses can be used for hyperopic astigmatism. For mild irregular astigmatism, rigid therapeutic corneal contact lenses can be worn to correct it, and high astigmatism can also be corrected with corneal contact lenses. Corneal contact lenses will be directly attached to the tear layer of the cornea and can be physiologically compatible with the human eye, thus achieving the purpose of vision correction and effectively improving the symptoms of astigmatism. Children with astigmatism should seek medical attention for proper correction.
