There is no one-trick solution to eliminate foot edema, we need to clarify the cause of the disease, such as lower limb vascular lesions, kidney problems, heart problems, etc., and then targeted treatment, need to be analyzed specifically. 1. Lower extremity vascular lesions: such as varicose veins, due to poor blood circulation in the lower extremities leading to edema, lower extremity vascular ultrasound and other tests can be clearly diagnosed, can be treated by drugs (such as Mazolin, calcium hydroxybenzenesulfonate, etc.), surgery and other means. 2. Kidney problems: edema is caused by decreased glomerular filtration rate and sodium retention in renal insufficiency and glomerulonephritis, which can be clearly diagnosed by kidney function tests; edema is caused by hypoproteinemia due to large amount of proteinuria in nephrotic syndrome, which can be clearly diagnosed by renal biopsy and other tests. Specific treatments are as follows: (1) renal insufficiency: feasible drug (such as urethane to protect the kidney, furosemide diuretic swelling, etc.) treatment, dialysis and other treatments. (2) Glomerulonephritis: adequate rest is needed, and hormones (such as prednisone, etc.), immunosuppressants (such as cyclophosphamide, etc.) and other drugs can be given to suppress the immune response. (3) Nephrotic syndrome: adequate rest is needed, diuretics such as furosemide diuretic, angiotensin II receptor antagonist such as valsartan to reduce proteinuria, hormones (such as prednisone, etc.), immunosuppressants (such as cyclophosphamide, etc.) to suppress immune response and other treatments can be given. 3. Cardiac problems: lower limb edema can occur when the circulation is stagnant in cardiac insufficiency, cardiac ultrasound and other examinations can make a clear diagnosis, need to rest, and can be given to strengthen the heart (e.g. digitalis, etc.), diuretic (e.g. furosemide, etc.), vasodilator (e.g. nitroglycerin, etc.) and other symptomatic treatments. Swollen feet suggest timely consultation to avoid delaying the condition.
