Strabismus may be caused by congenital strabismus as well as dysregulation of the control of the eye movement center.
1. Congenital strabismus: When the child’s vision is found to be abnormal within 6 months of birth and diagnosed as strabismus after examination, it is called congenital strabismus, which is mainly caused by abnormal anatomical position of extraocular muscles, abnormal development or paralysis of nerves that innervate the muscles.
2. Dysregulation of eye movement center: patients with dysregulation of eye movement center, insufficient eye collection or excessive adduction may cause the symptoms of strabismus.
When patients have symptoms of strabismus, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for detailed examination, make a diagnosis and choose standardized treatment under the guidance of doctors.
