A postmenopausal endometrial thickness of 10mm is not necessarily endometrial cancer, but it is abnormal because postmenopausal endometrium is generally thinner, most of them are less than 5mm, and the vast majority are less than 3mm. If it is 10mm, it may be caused by endometrial polyps or submucosal fibroids, or even endometrial cancer, and hysteroscopy is usually recommended. If endometrial polyps or submucosal fibroids are diagnosed, hysteroscopic removal of the polyps or fibroids is recommended. If the endometrium is loose under hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy or diagnostic scraping is recommended at that time to rule out endometrial cancer, and if endometrial cancer is diagnosed, further radical surgery for endometrial cancer may be required.
