What’s wrong with a dry nose in bed?

Sleeping with a dry nose at night may be related to the dryer air in the house. In the winter time in the north, the house is air-conditioned or has heated floor heating, which tends to reduce the humidity of the air, resulting in dry air. Once the air is dry, it is easy to induce dry nasal passages in patients. Some patients do not rest well during sleep and are prone to fire, which also tends to cause dryness of the nasal mucosa. Some patients have nasal diseases, such as deviated nasal septum and enlarged inferior turbinates, and poor ventilation of the nasal cavity, which also easily cause dryness of the nasal mucosa. In this case, patients are advised to go to ENT clinic for nasal endoscopy to exclude other diseases. The nose can be treated with compound menthol nasal drops under the guidance of a doctor, and nasal rinsing can be done with medical saline to relieve nasal dryness. For patients with dry nose, it is recommended to eat more vegetables and fruits and take more vitamins.
