Acute heel osteomyelitis can usually be completely cured after regular treatment.
Acute osteomyelitis of the heel should be detected as early as possible and actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment. When the infection spreads, the pressure inside the bone can be reduced by drainage and some antibiotics can be applied to control the condition, and usually the effect of recovery can be achieved in the subsequent treatment.
However, some cases of heel osteomyelitis are not detected in time during the acute attack and do not actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, which leads to the transformation of acute osteomyelitis into chronic osteomyelitis, which makes the treatment of the condition complicated and increases the difficulty of the treatment, and thus leads to a higher recurrence rate after the cure.
It is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions for standardized treatment after diagnosis of acute osteomyelitis of the heel bone as soon as possible, and not to blindly use medication on their own to avoid adverse consequences.
