Difference between epirubicin and doxorubicin liposomes

Epirubicin and doxorubicin liposome are isomers, both are tumor chemotherapeutic agents, different in side effects, efficacy and tumor affinity. 1. Different side effects:The incidence of cardiotoxicity, myelosuppression, nausea and vomiting, hair loss and other side effects of doxorubicin liposome is lower than that of epirubicin. 2. Different therapeutic effects: the regular dose of doxorubicin liposome is significantly lower than that of epirubicin, and one-third to two-thirds of the dose of doxorubicin liposome can produce comparable therapeutic effects with that of epirubicin. 3. Different tumor affinity: Compared with epirubicin, doxorubicin liposome has liposome as the solvent, which has better affinity with the tumor, and it can target to the tumor site with higher efficiency. Epirubicin and doxorubicin liposomes should be used under the guidance of a doctor and should not be used by oneself.
