Cold-heat mixing (simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat symptoms in the same patient) refers to the simultaneous occurrence of cold and heat symptoms in the same patient, presenting the phenomenon of cold and heat mixing. It can be treated with Half Xia Laxative Heart Pill, Wu Mei Pill, Xiao Chai Hu and other formulas according to different patients after identification.
Semixia Laxative Heart Pill: It has the effect of harmonizing the liver and spleen, leveling out cold and heat, eliminating lumps and dispersing knots. It is mainly used for treating plumpness with mixed cold and heat. Plankton under the heart (mainly referring to the distension and discomfort in the stomach), but fullness without pain, or vomiting, bowel sounds and discharges, with greasy and slightly yellowish tongue coating. It is often used in the treatment of acute and chronic gastroenteritis, chronic colitis, chronic hepatitis, early cirrhosis of the liver, etc., which is characterized by weakness of the middle qi and mixed cold and heat.
Wu Mei Pill: It has the effect of moderating the liver and regulating the middle, clearing the upper and warming the lower. It is used in treating ascariasis, prolonged dysentery, syncopal headache (headache caused by disease evils invading the syncopal meridian), abdominal pain and dysentery, headache at the top of the head, which occurs and stops at the same time, restlessness and vomiting, and coldness of the hands and feet, etc. It belongs to the syndrome of cold and heat.
Xiao Chai Hu Tang: It has the effect of conciliating Shaoyang (treating exogenous heat illnesses where the evil is between half-expression and half-li). It is used for treating typhoid shaoyang (one of the six meridians in the theory of typhoid fever, which is between the surface and the inside of the body), with symptoms such as cold and heat, bitter fullness in the chest (distension and discomfort in front and at the sides of the chest), silent desire to eat and drink, upset and vomiting, bitter taste in the mouth, dryness in the throat, dizziness, thin white fur on the tongue, and a stringy pulse.
It is clinically used in the treatment of colds, influenza, malaria, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis of the liver, acute and chronic cholecystitis, gallstones, etc., which belong to those whose evils have entered the Shao-Yang, and whose gallbladder and stomach are not in harmony.
