The terminal symptoms of advanced gastric cancer spreading usually manifest as abdominal pain, enlarged liver, bleeding and intestinal perforation, blurred consciousness, difficulty in swallowing and food reflux. 1. Abdominal pain: this is a common symptom of stomach cancer, and some late-stage patients even suffer from pain in upper abdomen or back due to tumor metastasis and lymph node compression of abdominal nerves, and the degree of pain will be further aggravated before death; 2. Enlarged liver: patients with advanced gastric cancer before death often have enlarged liver due to metastasis of cancer to liver, which may be accompanied by large amount of ascites and jaundice and liver failure; 3. Bleeding and intestinal perforation: gastrointestinal bleeding can be manifested as fecal occult blood or overt bleeding, hemorrhage mostly occurs in the rapid progression of the disease, and the effect of conservative treatment is poor, while intestinal perforation is the manifestation of critical gastric cancer, and the survival time of patients is also shorter; 4. Blurred consciousness: for patients with gastric cancer at the terminal stage, the organs are affected by the pre-disease, and their functions gradually decline, and most of them are already in a weak state before they reach the terminal stage, which leads to blurred consciousness, sighing breathing, decreased muscle tone, weakened heartbeat and decreased blood pressure; 5. Others: patients with advanced gastric cancer before dying may also have symptoms such as difficulty in swallowing, food reflux, extreme emaciation, skin ulceration, painless hematuria, etc. In addition, there will be wet and cold skin, accelerated heart rate, arrhythmia, unstable blood pressure and decreasing trend. For advanced gastric cancer patients who may have the above mentioned situations, it is suggested that their family members should pay more attention to the patient’s situation and give enough care.
