Small doses of salbutamol and aminophylline are shared, and if the dose of salbutamol and aminophylline shared exceeds a certain range then the combination is not recommended.
1. Aminophylline is available in tablets, extended-release tablets, and injections, and is a smooth muscle relaxant and diuretic. It is used to relieve wheezing symptoms in bronchial asthma, wheezing bronchitis, obstructive emphysema, etc. It can also be used in asthma caused by cardiogenic pulmonary edema.
Adverse reactions include nausea, vomiting, agitation, insomnia, cardiac arrhythmia, fever, dehydration, convulsions, etc., and in severe cases, even death due to respiratory and cardiac arrest. Hypersensitivity to theophylline, active peptic ulcer, patients with uncontrolled convulsive disease, acute myocardial infarction with significant decrease in blood pressure, and those who are allergic to the product are prohibited.
2. Salbutamol is commonly used in the form of aerosol, tablet, capsule and injection. It is a β2-adrenoceptor agonist. It is used for the prevention and treatment of bronchial asthma or wheezing bronchitis and other respiratory diseases accompanied by bronchospasm.
Adverse reactions include angioneurotic edema, urticaria, bronchospasm, hypotension, weakness, tremor, headache, palpitations, and arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, and premature beats). Contraindicated in hypersensitivity to other beta2 agonists, alcohol and freon.
The mechanism of action of the two drugs is different, small doses of salbutamol and aminophylline can be used together to enhance the effect of relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle, and at the same time can enhance the effect of cough and wheeze; but salbutamol and aminophylline shared dose exceeds a certain range, will lead to an increase in adverse reactions, so the two drugs should be combined under the guidance of a doctor, and is prohibited from combining on its own, to prevent the occurrence of adverse reactions.
