Dapoxetine hydrochloride can be taken at 30mg 1 to 2 hours before sexual intercourse, and tadalafil can be taken at 10mg 30 minutes before sexual intercourse. Dapoxetine is a selective 5-hydroxytryptamine reuptake inhibitor (SSRIs) and is recommended to be taken 1 to 2 hours before sexual intercourse at a dose of 30mg (60mg for poor results). Common adverse reactions (about 4%) are nasal congestion, headache, and diarrhea. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to the drug, people with severe heart disease, people with mania/major depression, and people with impaired liver function. Tadalafil is a selective, specific inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5i) and is recommended to be taken 30 minutes before sex at a dose of 10mg (20mg for poor results) and is not recommended for continuous use. Common adverse reactions include headache (32%), dyspepsia (13%), back pain (12%), and nausea (10%). Contraindicated in allergic persons, already using nitrate drugs (nitroglycerin), already using guanylate cyclase agonists (leucovorin). The combination of dapoxetine and tadalafil is the preferred regimen for the effective treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) and erectile dysfunction (ED), and its specific use should follow the clinician’s instructions in order to avoid adverse effects.
