If the right abdominal pain is not problematic on checking the liver and gallbladder, it may be due to other systemic diseases such as acute appendicitis, ulcerative colitis, ectopic pregnancy, or ruptured ovarian corpus luteum. It is recommended that appropriate ancillary investigations be performed and that the appropriate general surgery, gastroenterology and gynaecology departments be consulted, depending on other accompanying symptoms.
