Burn scars mainly include superficial scars, hyperplastic scars, scars, atrophic scars, scar cancer and so on. There are many treatment methods, such as physical therapy, medication, surgery and so on. 1. Superficial scars: Superficial scars are shallow in level, and in the early stage of scar formation, drugs to inhibit scar proliferation such as silicone gel can be given to improve the appearance of the scar. 2. Proliferative scars: In the early stage of proliferative scar formation, an elastic bandage or elastic sleeve can be used to press the scar, which can make the scar more even; combined with drugs to inhibit keloid proliferation is more effective. If the scar has been stabilized, the appearance of the scar can be improved by injecting scar softeners into the scar tissue. 3. Scar lumps: Scar lumps are higher than the skin and tough, anti-scar medication can be given to inhibit scar proliferation and anti-fibrosis. Surgical excision of scars, if necessary, aims to reduce the size of scars, relieve scar contracture and local tension; postoperative radiation therapy can reduce the probability of recurrence of keloid scars. 4. Atrophic scar: Atrophic scar is a scar deformity, hard texture, local skin atrophy and depression, contracture deformity. The main purpose of treatment is to improve the appearance of skin lesions, restore function, and prevent malignant changes.
