How to do an MRI of the legs

The process of a leg MRI is relatively simple, requiring only that the patient lie flat on the examining bed and be sent to the MRI room to be scanned and imaged by the machine in the leg.
Before having an MRI of the leg, the patient should go to the orthopedic department to receive an initial examination by a specialized doctor to clarify the location of the leg lesion and determine the area that needs to be examined by the MRI. After entering the MRI examination room, the doctor will wrap the area to be examined with a coil, and then the MRI machine will scan and image the area to complete a multi-directional and multi-sequence examination.
It is important to note that all metal objects on the body need to be removed for a leg MRI. If you have dentures, a pacemaker, or steel plates or metal braces in your body, you cannot have an MRI.
An MRI of the legs does not take long to perform and is usually completed in about 20 minutes. It is recommended that patients who need the test choose it under the supervision of their doctor.
