There is no such thing as a gynecological universal acupuncture point, and gynecological acupuncture points often used include Sanyinjiao, Guanyuan and Qihai. Sanyinjiao is located on the inner side of the lower leg, 3 inches above the tip of the inner ankle, at the posterior margin of the medial edge of the tibia bone, and is an important point for treating gynecological disorders. Needling is contraindicated for pregnant women. This point is used for treating weakness of the spleen and stomach, such as intestinal ringing, abdominal distension, diarrhea, etc.; obstetrics and gynecology, such as irregular menstruation, diarrhea, yin ting (prolapse of the uterus or even out of the vaginal opening), infertility, and stagnant labor; genitourinary disorders, such as spermatorrhea, impotence, and enuresis; palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia, and hypertension; impotence of the lower limbs, such as limpness, numbness and pain in the lower limbs; and all signs of yin deficiency. Guanyuan acupoint is located three inches below the umbilicus, and has the function of cultivating the vital energy and tonifying the lower jiao, which can be used for any deficiency of vital energy. Guanyuan acupoint is used clinically for urinary and reproductive disorders. It is used with caution for pregnant women. Qihai point is located in the lower abdomen, on the front center line, 1.5 inches below the umbilicus. It is used with caution for pregnant women. This point can treat dysuria (unsmooth urination), enuresis; spermatorrhea, impotence, hernia; menstrual disorders, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, metrorrhagia (excessive menstrual flow or dribbling), hypogonadism, yin jie, inexhaustible discharge of bad dew, and cystocele (the placenta can not be delivered after the fetus is delivered for a long period of time), and so on.
