Before the transfer, the doctor will assess the woman’s body. Some women may experience ascites or bleeding after egg retrieval, which cannot be performed. There are also some women who have poor endometrial conditions, where transferring would result in the fertilized egg not being able to attach, and will choose to freeze the embryos and transfer them when the woman’s body is fit to do so.
