Hearing tests are usually pure tone hearing threshold tests, the general hearing test from low frequency 125 Hz to high frequency 8000 Hz hearing threshold, the normal value is 25 decibels or less. Hearing varies from person to person, some people have good hearing, some have poor hearing, and an average hearing of 25 decibels or less is considered to be within the normal hearing range. An average hearing of 25 decibels or less is considered normal. 26 to 40 decibels is considered a mild hearing impairment, 41 to 60 decibels is a moderate hearing impairment, and 61 to 80 decibels is a severe hearing impairment. If a hearing test value is not in the normal range, the hearing loss may be caused by diseases of the inner ear, middle ear, and external auditory canal, such as sudden deafness, Meniere’s disease, otitis media, tympanic membrane perforation, cerumen impaction, and inflammation of the external auditory canal. Patients with abnormal hearing test, outer ear and middle ear lesions should also undergo electrical response audiometry, including evoked otoacoustic emission test, acoustic conductance impedance test, and brainstem hearing evoked potentials, to further clarify the diagnosis. If there is any hearing loss, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for diagnosis and treatment.
