After understanding the diseases and symptoms of the urinary system, how should we treat them?

The urinary system is an organ that is connected to the outside world, which makes the application of endoscopy possible. Urologic endoscopy has been used in diagnosis and treatment for more than a century, and urology was one of the first disciplines in the application of laparoscopy. Laparoscopic technology, characterized by minimally invasive, has opened a new era in urology. At present, minimally invasive treatment is practiced for about half of the prostatic hyperplasia and urolithiasis diseases. Minimally invasive technology has become the most prominent clinical feature of our department, and the successful implementation of minimally invasive surgeries has opened a new chapter in the field of urology in our hospital, which has benefited countless patients. Kidney transplantation is the best treatment for end-stage renal failure, and it is also the earliest clinical organ transplantation with the highest success rate, and it has become a routine treatment. Organ transplantation was started in urology, which is a good start in this new field of medicine. Our department was a key specialty in Jingzhou for the early success of kidney transplantation, and still retains a number of records for long postoperative patient survival, low medication dosage, and high quality of life. With the increasing improvement of clinical diagnostic technology, the detection and diagnosis of urological tumors is no longer a problem. The combination of traditional open surgery to open surgery and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery has become a development direction, such as adrenal tumors, renal tumors, bladder tumors can be treated by minimally invasive laparoscopic therapy. We have applied vaporization electrosurgery to treat superficial bladder tumors for a long time and achieved good results. In recent years, a new technology has been developed – laparoscopic total cystectomy with ileal substitution cystectomy, whose biggest advantages are less trauma, less pain, faster recovery, beautiful incision, low cost, and close to normal urination after operation, which is a more ideal surgical way for treating intermediate and advanced bladder tumors. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is a common disease in elderly men, causing great mental distress to elderly patients and seriously affecting the quality of life in later years. Means of treatment for BPH include medication, open surgery, prostate electrocautery, prostate memory scaffolds, and so on. Among them, transurethral vaporization electrocision of prostate “minimally invasive” treatment of prostate diseases, with no incision, no scar on the surface, less trauma, less bleeding, fast recovery, one-time cure characteristics, by today’s international medical community as the treatment of prostate hyperplasia “gold standard”. Since the 1990s, our department has rich clinical experience and relieved the pain of a large number of elderly patients suffering from prostate obstruction. The level of urological deformity orthopedics has rapidly developed to a new height, such as the reconstruction of congenital hypospadias, the use of the inner plate of the foreskin, the bladder mucosa or the oral mucosa of the one-stage molding, a surgery, one-stage treatment success, to avoid multiple surgeries, a shorter hospitalization period, fast recovery, the most internationally respected advanced surgical procedures. Female urethral syndrome, is a common disease in women, in the past, the etiology of the disease is not clear, drug treatment is ineffective, clinicians are at their wits’ end, after a long period of observation and research, it was found that the etiology of the disease is complex, due to the anatomical changes in the urethral orifice postpartum, accompanied by chronic cystourethritis and repeated infections, the decline in the level of estrogen and other reasons after the menopause. Clinical cure is achieved through orthopedic urethral orifice, transurethral electrolysis of the posterior urethral foci of the bladder neck, estrogen supplementation, and related physiotherapy, with good long-term results. In addition, we have also made promising progress in male reproduction, especially in the treatment of male infertility and chronic prostatitis. Varicocele leads to low sperm viability and sperm quality, which is an important cause of male infertility. We have carried out laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery i.e. laparoscopic high ligation of the internal spermatic vein has the characteristics of low recurrence rate, fast postoperative recovery and small incision, combined with the supplement of spermatogenesis herbal medicine, the quality of semen is significantly improved after half a year. Chronic prostatitis is a common and frequent disease in urology, commonly seen in young people, after years of clinical investigation, we have a new understanding of the etiology, pathology and evolution of the disease, which will lead the urology industry to a new revolution in the means of treatment.
