How to read semen labs which items you need to focus on

Sperm test report can focus on semen volume, semen liquefaction time, sperm concentration, sperm morphology, motility and other indicators. 1. Semen volume: the normal volume of semen is 2-6 ml. If it is more than 8 ml, it suggests that there is inflammation in some of the glands that produce semen, and the concentration of sperm decreases, which affects fertility. 2. Liquefaction time: the normal time is about 15-20 minutes, if it takes more than 1 hour without liquefaction, it indicates that there are problems with the quality of semen. 3. Sperm concentration: If the sperm concentration is less than 15 million/ml, it is called oligospermia. 4. Sperm morphology: the normal morphology rate of sperm should be >4%, if the aberration rate of sperm is too high, it will lead to higher probability of infertility. 5. Sperm mobility: there are four grades: a, b, c and d. Sperm of grade a and b should be able to reach more than 40%, which is an important indicator for determining the chances of conception. In addition to this, color, ph level, white blood cells and other indicators should also be observed. It is recommended to visit the hospital and analyze the results together with other tests.
