What are the abnormalities of leukemia blood markers?

The abnormalities of blood routine indexes of leukemia are mainly the abnormalities of white blood cell count, some patients may have abnormalities of platelets and hemoglobin, and abnormal cells can also be seen.

1. Abnormalities of white blood cells: most of the patients show an increase of white blood cells, which is more than 10*10^9/L. Primitive cells and naive cells can also be found in blood smear, which is called leukocytoclastic leukemia; there are also some patients with a decrease of white blood cells, and the white blood cell count of severe patients can be less than 1*10^9/L.

2. Platelet abnormality: most patients’ platelet count is less than 100*10^9/L, and there can even be extreme reduction of platelets in the advanced stage.

3. Abnormal hemoglobin: hemoglobin value of some patients can be less than 120g/L, suggesting anemia.

4. Abnormal cells include primitive cells, naïve cells, and there may be red blood cells of different sizes and primitive red blood cells.
