How to take a sperm test specimen

Sperm testing is often done by masturbation method, condom collection method and other methods of obtaining specimens.
Routine semen examination is one of the commonly used laboratory examination methods in urology, gynecology and reproduction. Through the collection of male semen, the specific components in the semen are analyzed to determine male fertility based on whether the sperm vitality and status are normal; specimens are often taken by masturbation method and condom collection method.
1. Masturbation method: This is the most commonly used method at present. Wash your hands and penis before masturbation, and when you reach orgasm through masturbation, ejaculate the semen completely into the specimen box and send it to the laboratory immediately.
2. Condom collection method: under special circumstances, such as masturbation can not be successful in obtaining the specimen, can be ejaculated into the condom during sexual intercourse to collect the specimen. However, it must be a spermicide-free condom designed for semen collection.
It is important to note that you need to abstain from sex for 3 to 7 days before doing a semen test to avoid discrepancies in the results.
