Treatment of esophageal reflux disease

Esophageal Reflux Disease (ERD) generally refers to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), the treatment of which mainly includes life control, medication and surgery. 1. Life control: It is mainly to control body weight, quit smoking and drinking, avoid eating before going to bed, and raise the head of the bed when sleeping. Diet should be regular, avoiding food that is too spicy or too acidic. Lifestyle control can help reduce the symptoms of patients. 2. Drug treatment: mainly include drugs to inhibit gastric acid secretion such as omeprazole and rabeprazole; drugs to protect the mucosa such as magnesium aluminum carbonate; and drugs to promote gastrointestinal dynamics such as domperidone and mosapride. 3. Surgery: Surgery can be used for patients who are not willing to take medication for a long period of time, suffer from recurrent symptoms, and have combined with hiatal hernia of the esophagus. Currently, surgical treatments mainly include laparoscopic fundoplication and endoscopic anti-reflux surgery. It is recommended that patients seek timely medical treatment, standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor, and early recovery.
