Are lymph node metastases serious?

Lymph node metastasis is more serious.

Lymph node metastasis generally refers to the phenomenon that in malignant tumors, the infiltrating tumor cells pass through the wall of lymphatic vessels and are carried to the lymph nodes in the confluence area with the lymphatic fluid, resulting in the growth of the same tumors in different areas, and it usually occurs in the middle and late stages of the tumor. It is a more serious stage.

Lymphatic metastasis will generally reach the group of lymph nodes closest to the tumor first, and then develop into the distal lymph nodes and other places, such as the cervical lymph nodes, but there are also jumping metastases appearing, such as cervical cancer.

Either kind of metastasis adds difficulty to diagnosis and treatment.

At present, for the treatment of tumor lymphatic metastasis, if the origin of the tumor can be diagnosed, surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are generally considered; if the origin of the tumor cannot be determined, radiotherapy with chemotherapy can be considered. The treatment should be carried out under the guidance of professional doctors. In daily life, when you find discomfort in a certain part of the body, you should consult a doctor for diagnosis in time.
