Pain in the left upper chest and back may be due to myocardial infarction, angina pectoris and aortic coarctation.
1. Myocardial infarction: refers to acute myocardial ischemic necrosis, which occurs on the basis of coronary artery pathology, the supply of coronary blood flow is drastically reduced or interrupted, resulting in angina pectoris in the precordial area, i.e., the left upper chest, fatigue, fear of heart boredom, and the pain can be radiated to the back, left shoulder and other locations.
2. Angina pectoris: myocardial ischemia and hypoxia caused by insufficient blood supply from the coronary arteries or excessive oxygen demand within a short period of time. It mainly manifests as chest tightness, left upper chest pain, etc., and the pain may radiate to the back.
3. Aortic coarctation: hematoma appears in the middle layer of the aorta, and the hematoma extends downward and upward in the middle layer of the aorta. Severe precordial pain and a sense of dying may occur, and the pain may also be felt in the back, left shoulder, abdomen, and other locations.
The presence of left upper chest and back pain requires active medical attention to identify the cause of the problem and then provide targeted treatment.
