What’s wrong with the limitation of arms to back and up?

Restriction of the arm to the back and upward lifting effort is usually due to pathological factors, the common causes are rotator cuff injury, frozen shoulder and cervical spondylosis and so on. 1. Rotator cuff injury: Rotator cuff injury is a disease in which the rotator cuff tendon is ruptured due to trauma or chronic strain to the shoulder joint. Rotator cuff injury is usually characterized by limited movement of the shoulder joint during abduction and elevation. 2. Frozen shoulder: Frozen shoulder is a kind of chronic inflammation that occurs in the shoulder joint and the surrounding muscles, joint capsule, ligaments and other soft tissues, which may lead to adhesion of periarticular tissues, and then lead to stiffness of the shoulder joint, limitation of activities, and pain in backward and upward lifting. 3. Cervical spondylosis: If the cervical intervertebral disc undergoes degenerative changes and compresses the cervical nerve roots, it is likely to show symptoms of neck and shoulder pain and numbness in the limbs, which may lead to limited arm movement and pain when carrying back and lifting up. In addition to the above reasons, shoulder dislocation and rheumatoid arthritis may also lead to limited shoulder movement. If the limitation of arm movement, backward and upward mobility cannot be relieved by oneself, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital and take appropriate treatment according to the cause.
