How to check for a loose cervix

Cervical laxity can be determined by cervical dilatation and ultrasound.
1. Cervical dilatation: The cervical dilatation can be detected by a number eight dilatometer. If the number eight dilatometer is able to pass through the cervical opening, cervical laxity and cervical insufficiency can be determined.
2. Ultrasound: If there is a suspicion of cervical incompetence during pregnancy, an ultrasound should be performed to measure the length of the cervical canal. If the length of the cervical canal is less than 2.5 centimeters, or if the endocervical opening is dilated by more than 0.5 centimeters, cervical incompetence can be diagnosed.
In order to detect cervical relaxation in time, it is recommended to have regular medical checkups and to have regular treatment as soon as possible after detection. After giving birth, women should avoid engaging in heavy labor, prohibit sexual intercourse, strengthen the rest, and usually do some anal exercises to prevent cervical relaxation.
If there are other problems, it is recommended to consult a professional doctor for guidance.
