What stage of lung cancer is pleural pulling

Pleural pulling is stage IIB lung cancer if there are no lymph node metastases. If there are lymph node metastases, it is partially stage III. If it is caused by lung cancer invading the pleura, it is usually considered stage IV. The main reason for pleural pulling is that the lung lesion has more fibrous tissue proliferation, and pleural adhesion and thickening cause pleural retraction. If there is no lymph node metastasis, it belongs to stage 2B lung cancer, and the primary lesion can be removed by surgery, and the disease can be controlled with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and targeted therapy after surgery, and some patients can achieve clinical cure. If there is mediastinal lymph node metastasis, it belongs to stage III lung cancer, and the tumor continues to expand and the survival rate is significantly reduced. In addition to surgical resection, adjuvant radiotherapy and targeted therapy are also needed. If accompanied by distant metastasis, it belongs to stage IV lung cancer, at this time, it is no longer suitable for surgical resection, but the quality of life can still be improved by radiotherapy, targeted drugs, immunotherapy and so on. Therefore, just based on pleural pulling cannot determine the stage of lung cancer, and further examination and active treatment are needed to avoid delaying the condition.
