Difference between gastrointestinal flu and gastroenteritis

There are some differences between gastrointestinal cold and gastroenteritis in terms of etiology, clinical manifestations and treatment.
1. Etiology: gastrointestinal cold is mainly caused by viral infection; gastroenteritis can be caused by viral infection, but also by bacterial and parasitic infections, drugs, alcoholism and other non-infectious factors can also be caused.
2. 3. Treatment: gastrointestinal cold can use ribavirin antiviral treatment, if necessary, the use of montelukast to stop diarrhea, ibuprofen dispersible tablets can alleviate the patient’s nasal congestion, runny nose; bacterial infections caused by gastroenteritis can be used as prescribed by the use of ciprofloxacin and other antibiotic treatment, severe pain can also take scopolamine treatment.
