Gentamicin injection is generally not used for the treatment of Helicobacter pylori. Gentamicin injection belongs to aminoglycoside antibiotics, theoretically can inhibit the reproduction and growth of H. pylori, but there is a certain degree of nephrotoxicity, so it is not suitable for long-term use, the use of the cycle is generally no more than two weeks. Patients with H. pylori infection need to standardize the quadruple combination of drugs, that is, 2 antibiotics such as amoxicillin and clarithromycin + bismuth + proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole oral combination. Therefore, in practice, gentamicin injection is not used to treat H. pylori infection. Gentamicin injection can be used to treat inflammation caused by Escherichia coli, Neisseria, Staphylococcus aureus and so on. It is contraindicated in allergic individuals, has ototoxicity and nephrotoxicity, and is recommended to be used under the supervision of a physician.
