Neratinib maleate is a targeted drug. Targeted drugs refer to drugs or preparations with targeting ability, and commonly used targeted drugs in clinic include multi-kinase inhibitors with multiple therapeutic targets and targeted drugs with specific therapeutic targets, among which neratinib maleate is a kinase inhibitor, which belongs to the category of targeted drugs, and it can play an adjuvant therapeutic role in the early stage of breast cancer with HRE2 overexpression in adults. Common adverse effects of this drug include abdominal pain and bloating, dry mouth, fatigue, elevated bilirubin, nausea and vomiting, weight loss, and serious adverse effects such as diarrhea and hepatotoxicity in individual patients. Therefore, this drug is embryotoxic and needs to be contraindicated in pregnant women. Nursing women need to suspend breastfeeding during the medication or within one month after the last dose. Contraception is required during treatment or for one month after completion of treatment. Before starting treatment, patients should also have total bilirubin, ALT, AST and alkaline phosphatase levels tested monthly for the first three months of treatment and every three months thereafter. Electrolyte and water supplementation is also required for severe diarrhea. This drug is a prescription drug and must be used only under the direction of a physician.
