Roxithromycin capsules are macrolides for pharyngitis and tonsillitis caused by Streptococcus pyogenes, as well as sinusitis, otitis media, acute bronchitis, acute attacks of chronic bronchitis caused by sensitive bacteria, and also for pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae or Chlamydia pneumoniae, urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis, and skin soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria. The main adverse reactions are abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and other gastrointestinal reactions, but the incidence is significantly lower than that of erythromycin, with occasional rash, itchy skin, dizziness and headache. Use with caution in hepatic insufficiency and no dose adjustment is required in mild renal insufficiency.
