What types of nerve sheath tumor pathology are included

Nerve sheath tumor is the most common benign tumor in the nervous system, which can be divided into dense type and reticular type pathologically.
1. Dense type: nerve sheath cells are shuttle-shaped, tightly arranged, intertwined into vortex or fenestrated, with rod-shaped nuclei, mostly arranged in a fenestrated pattern, separated by a nuclear-free zone called Verocay bodies, which is a common feature of this type of tumor.
2. Reticular type: the cells are small, stellate or polygonal, loosely arranged, without certain direction, with obvious edema in the interstitium, often forming tiny cystic cavities, necrosis is more common, and there are abundant vascular structures.
For patients with nerve sheath tumor, they should go to the relevant departments of regular hospitals for consultation and treatment under the guidance of professional physicians, so as to avoid the delay of the condition and the adverse consequences.
