Ground glass 6mm nodule is cancer?

Ground glass 6mm nodule refers to a ground glass nodule with a diameter of 6mm seen in the lungs on chest CT, whether it is cancer or not can be analyzed according to the morphology of the nodule, and the gold standard for diagnosis is pathological examination.
1. Nodule morphology: the morphology of the nodule can be clearly understood by CT examination.
(1) Common CT signs of lung cancer include: lobular sign, burr sign, vacuolar sign, air bronchial image, tumor trophoblastic artery, vascular incision and cluster pleural depression or pulling sign, eccentric cavity and other signs.
(2) In general, a nodule of 6 mm is more likely to be benign. From the CT, the peripheral boundary of the nodule is clear and the morphology is regular.
(2) Some early lung adenocarcinomas can be manifested as glassy foci on CT. Clinically, 8mm nodules are generally found to have surgical indications, and 6mm nodules have a high possibility of being benign, but malignant is not excluded, so it is recommended to do percutaneous lung puncture biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
If you find a 6mm ground-glass nodule in the lungs, it is recommended that you have a regular review or treatment under the guidance of your doctor. In order to avoid delaying the disease.
