In the formula, Duhuo and Gentiana Macrophyllae dispel wind-dampness, Cumin and Cinnamon warm the meridians and dissipate cold (warming the meridians of the body and dispelling cold in the body), Sentinel, Cortex Eucommiae, Cow’s Knee replenish the liver and kidney and remove wind-dampness, Angelica Sinensis, Paeoniae Lactiflorae, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong, and Licorice nourish Blood and harmonize the Blood.
Adverse effects of Dok Ju Parasite Soup are not known at this time. It is forbidden to use if one is allergic to the constituents of this formula, and should be used with caution in allergic patients, and is contraindicated in patients with paralysis characterized by dampness-heat syndrome.
