It is currently believed that novel coronavirus can be transmitted by contact. In the new version of the “Pneumonia Treatment Plan for Novel Coronavirus Infection (Trial Version 4)”, the National Health Commission has issued a new version of the treatment plan, which states that the novel coronavirus can be transmitted not only by respiratory droplets but also by contact. Direct contact refers to contact with the patient’s secretions, such as nasal discharge, feces, tears and vomit; indirect contact refers to physical contact with objects contaminated with the virus, such as escalators, desktops, toys, etc. The virus is inactivated after 30 minutes at 56°C. Therefore, the virus that has not yet been inactivated by adhering to objects is still infectious.
