Does a child’s protein allergy affect growth

Protein allergies do not usually affect height. Children’s height can be affected by genetic and environmental factors.

1. Heredity determines the potential, characteristics, and tendency of normal growth and development. For example, height is mainly influenced by heredity. In most cases, if the parents are not tall, the children will not be tall. If the parents are tall, the children will be tall. If a child lives in a well-nourished environment until adulthood, the final height is determined 75% by heredity and 25% by nutrition and exercise.

However, if the child has some hereditary diseases such as Down’s Syndrome, it will be due to chromosomal abnormality, growth retardation, and also accompanied by mental retardation.

2. Environmental factors: A good living environment, adequate nutrition, healthy mother during pregnancy and good congenital development of the fetus, and a harmonious family atmosphere are all conducive to the growth and development of children.

Children with protein allergies should ensure that they avoid protein to minimize the occurrence of diseases, any disease that can affect their physical growth, and that their basic nutrition is adequate.
