Turmeric has the efficacy of promoting blood circulation and qi circulation, clearing menstruation and relieving pain, and is useful in treating qi stagnation and blood stasis (blood stagnation due to lack of qi circulation) pain syndrome, rheumatism and paralysis, and other conditions.
Turmeric is pungent, dispersing, warming and penetrating, bitter and excreting, and enters both the blood division (which is the deepest stage or location of the disease among the four periods of warm disease, namely Weiqi and Yingqi) and the qi division, which can invigorate the blood, move qi and relieve pain. It can be used to treat chest pain in the absence of chest yang and paralysis of heart veins, with Angelica sinensis and Mucuna pruriens; it can be used to treat chest pain in the stagnation of liver and stomach qi and cold condensation, with Citrus aurantium and Gui Xin.
Turmeric is pungent, bitter, dry and warm, external dispersal of wind, cold and dampness, internal flow of qi and blood, menstruation and pain relief, especially long in the line of limbs and arms in addition to paralyzing pain, often with qiangwu, windproof, angelica and other medicines.
Turmeric adverse reactions, contraindications are not clear. It should be noted that blood deficiency, no qi stagnation and blood stasis and pregnant women should be cautious in taking.
