Which is better, memesartan or irbesartan?



Meaxartan and Irbesartan are the same type of antihypertensive drugs, there is no which one is better, the specific use of which drug need to follow the doctor’s instructions.

Meaxartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker, a long-acting antihypertensive drug used to treat essential hypertension in adults, which can reduce the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction. Side effects are dizziness and headache, insomnia, or upright hypotension, and overdose can lead to symptoms such as hyperkalemia, flatulence, and abnormal taste. Irbesartan is also in the angiotensin II receptor blocker class of drugs that act on the renin angiotensin aldosterone system, which has a strong antihypertensive effect and is indicated for moderate hypertension. Its side effects include neurological abnormalities, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, fatigue and postural hypotension. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to this product, have renal insufficiency, are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking diuretic drugs.

Meiasartan and Irbesartan does not exist which is more effective, the use of drugs need to be standardized under the guidance of the doctor’s instructions, choose the right drug for their own situation for treatment.
