Can Hiv Antigen Antibodies Be Ruled Out in 30 Days

Hiv means AIDS. HIV antigen antibody test result is negative after 30 days, can not rule out HIV infection for the time being, it is recommended that the patient can be 2~4 weeks later for follow-up, 6 weeks later if the follow-up test result is negative then basically can be completely ruled out. HIV antigen and antibody test is based on the results after 4~6 weeks. This is because the acute phase of AIDS will occur in about 2 to 4 weeks after the first infection, during which the patient will experience clinical symptoms such as generalized discomfort, headache, night sweats, nausea, vomiting, etc. The HIV antigen antibody test can detect the presence of HIV. HIV RNA and P24 antigen can be detected by HIV antigen and antibody test, and HIV antibody appears only after several weeks. Therefore, if the result of HIV antigen antibody test is negative after 30 days, it is recommended that the patient can have a follow-up examination after 2 to 4 weeks to confirm the diagnosis. During the period when the test result is not clear, patients should avoid having sex with others.
