How soon after a total hysterectomy can you have another oophorectomy?

Oophorectomy can be done again about 1 year after total hysterectomy. The decision will depend on the patient’s physical condition and the severity of the disease.
Under normal circumstances, if a woman’s uterus and ovaries are abnormal at the same time, the ovaries can be removed at the same time as the total hysterectomy. If the ovaries are found to be abnormal some time after the total hysterectomy, the ovaries will need to be removed about 1 year after the surgery.
Since most patients recover after 3 months after total hysterectomy, a follow-up examination is needed at about 6 months after the operation. If the review shows normal results and the patient is in good health, ovariectomy can be performed about 1 year after surgery.
If there is poor recovery or poor health in the patient’s review and the ovarian condition is relatively uncomplicated, it may be necessary to extend the time to perform ovarian surgery again.
Women who have undergone total hysterectomy need to undergo regular checkups. If there are any abnormalities in the ovaries, they need to go to the hospital in time to be examined, and under the doctor’s evaluation, a reasonable treatment method or time for surgery should be adopted.
