How to massage Tai Chong point

The Taichong point can be massaged using finger rubbing or point pressing methods.
Taichong is located in the dorsum of the foot at the depression in front of the union of the first and second metatarsal bones. It can be used to treat headache, dizziness, insomnia, epilepsy, redness and swelling of the eyes, distension and pain of the ribs, jaundice, hernia, drowning, dysuria, spermatorrhea, menorrhagia, amenorrhea, stagnant labor, child’s convulsions (a pediatric disease that is manifested by dizziness, apoplexy, and convulsions), and weakness of the feet.
When massaging Taichong acupoints, the thumb can be pressed at the acupoint for kneading, which is the finger kneading method; the thumb can also be pressed at the acupoint to maintain a certain strength and press downward, which is the point pressing method. The pressure should be gentle and even.
If massage therapy is needed, it is recommended to go to a professional medical institution.
