Pain in the left lower back

Left-sided lumbar pain is commonly caused by lumbar disc herniation, lumbar muscle strain, urinary stones, sigmoid colon fecal accumulation, but also women due to gynecological inflammatory lesions.
1. Lumbar disc herniation: If the herniated lumbar disc compresses the nerve root on the left side, it will cause left-sided lumbar pain. When the pain is severe, patients can take oral celecoxib capsules and other drugs to relieve pain. If conservative treatment is ineffective, surgery can be performed.
2. Lumbar muscle strain: If the left side of the waist sprain, will lead to lumbar muscle strain, then the lumbar soreness and pain. Oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen can be used to treat the pain.
3. Urinary stones: the pain may be caused by stones in the left kidney or left ureter.
4. Sigmoid colon fecal accumulation: it may manifest as constipation and difficulty in defecation.
5. Female gynecological inflammation: uterine adnexitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and so on can cause the left side of the waist pain.
