Purpura usually begins to spread from the lower limbs.
Purpura is mostly due to haematological disorders and substantially manifests as a result of increased capillary permeability and altered brittleness. Purpura usually extends gradually from the lower extremities because of the greater activity of the lower extremities and the greater capillary fragility.
It is also seen in areas of weaker skin, such as the inner thighs, small abdomen, inner skin of the arms and the eyes and face, where the skin is weaker and bleeding points may be more frequent.
