What tests are needed for tinnitus and deafness

Deafness and tinnitus is a common symptom in ENT. When the corresponding condition occurs, it is necessary to investigate the related diseases, and the tests to be done mainly include temporal bone CT, inner ear MRI, otoscopy, hearing test and blood test. 1. Temporal bone CT: to find out the structural abnormality of middle ear, inflammatory lesion and tumor. 2. MRI of the inner ear: to observe the inner auditory canal, the morphology and structure of the inner ear, and intracranial space-occupying lesions. 3. Otoscope: to observe the condition of the external auditory canal and around the tympanic membrane, and to deal with the abnormality in time. 4. Hearing test: pure tone audiometry, acoustic impedance, speech audiometry, otoacoustic emission, auditory brainstem evoked response, cochlea electrography and so on. 5. Blood tests: blood routine, C-reactive protein, coagulation mechanism, liver and kidney function, lipid analysis, etc. When deafness and tinnitus symptoms appear, you need to consult a doctor in time for systematic examination, make a clear diagnosis, follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment, and follow up dynamically with the changes in the condition.
