Fire boils, usually referred to as boils in clinical practice, are acute bacterial suppurative inflammations of individual hair follicles and their surrounding tissues, and are often treated with local treatment and systemic application of antimicrobial drugs. Local treatment: Hot compresses, infrared physiotherapy, or topical application of medications (gold powder, ichthyolite ointment, mupirocin ointment, etc.) can be applied when the red and swollen stage is not yet pus-filled. When pus appears on the surface of the boil, remove the pus plug to avoid squeezing and spreading the infection, and keep the wound clean until it heals. Systemic application of antibacterial drugs: If the boil is accompanied by systemic symptoms of infection such as fever, headache, general malaise, etc., especially on the face, it can be treated with cefuroxime, amoxicillin, etc., or intravenous cefuroxime or levofloxacin if necessary. Boils should be treated as soon as possible to avoid aggravation of the condition.
