How many years can you live with polycystic ovaries

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common gynecologic endocrine disorder, often clinically characterized by hyperandrogenism, sparse or anovulation, and polycystic ovarian changes. With treatment, life expectancy is generally not affected. Individuals may have an increased chance of endometrial cancer due to long-term persistent anovulation.
The main clinical symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome are obesity, scanty menstruation, amenorrhea, hirsutism, acne, and infertility, etc. Through lifestyle modification and medication, the vast majority of patients can regain normal menstruation, ideal conception, etc., and life expectancy is not affected in general.
Individual patients who do not know enough about the disease and do not undergo active treatment may have atypical hyperplasia of the endometrium under the influence of estrogen for a long period of time, which may increase the chance of endometrial cancer.
When Polycystic Ovary Syndrome is detected, the patient should go to the hospital promptly and be given appropriate treatment after the doctor has assessed the condition.
