According to “Pu Ji Fang”, the formula and dosage of Dang Gui Drink is two taels of Angelica sinensis, two taels of Chai Hu, one tael of ginseng, seven and a half cents of Panax quinquefolium, one and a half taels of white peony, one and a half taels of Scutellaria baicalensis, and half a tael of licorice, but clinically it needs to be added and subtracted according to the patient’s condition and symptoms, and it is recommended that patients use the drug according to the doctor’s instructions.
The Angelica Drink is used for women’s blood deficiency and labor exhaustion, five heart heat (two hands and two feet heart fever, and consciously heart and chest heat), limb pain, head and eyes heavy dizziness, the heart agitated cheeks red, dry mouth and throat, take hold of the night sweating (after going to sleep sweating abnormally, waking up sweating to stop), reduce food and sleepy; and blood and heat, menstrual fluid irregularities, navel and abdominal distension and pain, chills and fever such as malaria.
Angelica Drink can also be used for chamber maiden’s blood weakness, yin deficiency, glory and guard disharmony, phlegm coughing and tidal fever (a burst of fever), muscle leanness, and gradually become bone vapor.
Patients are advised not to self-medicate to avoid delaying the condition.
